I combination of great food and great service. Went here with my girlfriend and we enjoyed the worm welcoming of the waiters and the amazing food. From the mains to the sides we couldn’t resist ordering more. A special thanks to our waiter Wilson who gave us an extraordinary service and recommendations.

I had a great experience, especially thanks to Andy, who was truly an attentive and thoughtful waiter. I particularly enjoyed their beef dishes and the salad both were absolutely delicious and stood out the most for me. The only items that didn’t quite match my personal taste were the miso soup and the spicy shrimp, but that simply came down to individual preference rather than quality. Overall, it was a very satisfying meal and excellent service.

Go their for their lunch combo. 20 for 3 meats to grill, a salad and miso soup. Really good value for the quality of meat. The angus beef rib was the best. The other two meats I got were cut badly, with some small and broken pieces (small enough to barely fit on the grill). But for the price, it wasn't a big deal. The service was also attentive and friendly. They checked on us throughout the meal, and changed the grill for us without prompting. Our table also ordered the ramen and that's a skip. Not very good.

I love gyu kaku for their lunch special! It’s great bang for your buck. This location is especially my favourite (minus the lack of parking), I’ve never had a bad experience here. The meat is always well seasoned. The restaurant is clean & the staff are super attentive. We always had our drinks filled & fresh napkins were always brought to our table before we needed to ask.

My husband and I ate here for our first Japanese BBQ experience ever, and it was hands down one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in our lives. We’re already planning our next trip to Montreal, and this place is at the top of our list to return to! Jin, as well as all of the staff, were unbelievably hospitable. They absolutely made our experience an 11/10. Cannot recommend this place enough! :)

Absolutely Incredible Experience at Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ! From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for a treat. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was absolutely impeccable—attentive, friendly, and fast. The food? Outstanding. Every cut of meat was high quality, well-marinated, and grilled to absolute perfection right at our table. The portions were generous, and the variety on the menu ensured there was something for everyone. We especially loved the selection of sauces that perfectly complemented each bite. The drinks were also fantastic, adding to the overall enjoyment of our meal. And for the quality and portion sizes, the pricing was incredibly reasonable. It’s rare to find such a perfect balance of top-tier food, great service, and affordability, but Gyu-Kaku nailed it! If you’re looking for an amazing Japanese BBQ experience, this place is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back for more!

Absolutely loved my experience here! Our waiter Wilson gave us great suggestions for meats and drinks, the prime kalbi, sakuratini and mango smoothie were very delicious! Would absolutely come back again!!

Wife felt like having barbecue once we landed in Montreal. After checking into the hotel, we walked here and snagged a table. We ordered a set meal for 2 and it was enough food for me, my wife and my 8 year old daughter. I thought the food was fine. My wife was a little disappointed. I guess she was expecting something more. My daughter was fine with the food as well. We didn’t hate it, but the food didn’t stand out for us.
